ESV Illuminated Scripture Journal: 2 Peter is available to purchase for $6.00 at the Welcome Centre. Pick up your copy if you haven’t already (included in the same Bible as 1 Peter Illuminated Scripture Journal).

February Events

4 x 4 Connection Groups Kickoff Event, Monday, Feb 17, 7-8 pm, church foyer – Social gatherings of either 4 women, or 4 men, over 4 months (each woman/man plans one event). Groups made randomly from list of those wanting to participate. Groups made in February – events run March – June. Register by Feb 16: 4X4 Groups – Registration Form Winter 2025. Please note that Family Night (scheduled for Friday, Feb. 21) has been cancelled this month due to the Celebration of Life service for Eric Bergmann taking place at the church on Saturday, Feb. 22 at 11 am.

Men’s Sports Night – Sat, Feb 22, 8-10 pm. Bring your gym shoes to the church and join us to play basketball, soccer, etc.  No registration needed and no charge.

Kiwanis’ Service – Join us to sing during the service on Thursday, Feb 20.  Anyone who loves to sing is invited to join this vocal  ensemble the third Thursday of every month at 9:30 am at St. James Kiwanis. Meet at 90 Sinawik Bay at 9:30 am to practice. Contact Lorraine Bergmann or office@whyteridgebaptist.ca  for more information.

Wednesday nights at WRBC 

Precept Ministries Bible Study – I Peter, How To Stand Firm When Tested, Wednesdays, Feb 5 – April 2, 7-9. Cost $30. Registration required for in-depth study of I Peter or In & Out Bible study (less homework). Registration for Precept – I Peter  Email precept@whyteridgebaptist.ca for more information.

Come To The Table Weekly Meal –  Wednesdays till March 26, 5:30-6:45 pm – cost $7/person; $25/household of 4, main auditorium. Please register online Come To The Table Registration by Sunday night to help with meal planning. Menu for Feb 19: Pizza and Caesar Salad. Dessert: Ice Cream.

Discussion Group – Wednesday nights following Come To the Table (7-9 pm). Meet in the Fireside Room to discuss Sunday’s sermon and develop your church family connections. Casual attendance & drop-ins are welcome.

Care Journey Training(/HELPS) – Discipleship Pathway for a Caring Community, 5 Sessions (Wed, Feb 26 – Mar 26th), Time: 7 pm – 8:30 pm, Location: WRBC Common Office Area, online registration preferred: Care Journey Training Registration Winter 2025

Conquer Series – The Conquer Series is a powerful teaching series for men. This 10 week series runs from March 1 to May 3 (Saturday mornings) from 8 to 10am. It will guide you on the path to freedom from pornography and lust. This is not just another study tool for men, but a tried and proven battle plan for purity in a godless world. Volunteer Opportunity – looking for a Sunday morning early-bird (or 2) to come prepare our auditorium for our Sunday morning service by putting Welcome Cards & offering envelopes into the backs of the chairs. We have volunteers currently serving in this way but we need someone to share in this ministry for every other week (2 Sundays/month).  Contact Debbie at volunteer@whyteridgebaptist.ca if you would like to explore this important ministry.

Hey Parents – this registration form is for all children attending our programs in Nursery up to Grade 6.  This information is required to be filled out each year for each child to make sure we have updated allergies, permissions, and consent for your child. Please complete this form if you have not done so already.

SONSeekers Elementary – Kindergarten to Grade 4
The Wave – Grade 5 and 6

This week we are writing letters again to encourage the people in our church family who can’t leave their homes to connect with others.  We will also hear from Erika about the question “If God is a loving God, why does He send people to hell?” 

We will play, have pizza for snack, and get some awesome time in small groups as well!
