Update from Lead Pastor Search Team: The Search Team is in the final stages of posting the job opportunity. You should see it very soon on our own website. It will also be posted at selected Seminaries, Christian colleges and on a number of other Christian job search sites. Please continue to pray over this process as we seek to meet the person that God has been preparing to send us as our next Lead Pastor.
Please also pray for members of the Search Team as they enjoy a brief period of rest in anticipation of receiving applications to be evaluated later this summer and into the fall. Team members have put tremendous work into this process so far and much work remains to be done. Pray for perseverance and discernment in the next stage of the process.
Message from the Celebration Team: You a
re invited to a Retirement Celebration for Pastor Terry Janke next Sunday, August 18, 2024. The Retirement Celebration will be held during the Sunday morning service (10:30am). Pastor Terry will be speaking. Following the morning service there will be a reception in the foyer. A light snack will be served.
We hope you will join us to celebrate Pastor Terry’s ministry at Whyte Ridge Baptist Church.
Just a reminder that, as in past years, we will not be live-streaming our Sunday services for the month of August. This allows members of our Tech Team to take a break from volunteering during this month. On these Sundays, there will be an audio recording of the sermon that will be made available after the fact. An exception to this is August 18th – The Retirement Celebration service for Pastor Terry Janke will be live-streamed that morning.

Connecting Points
Connecting Points Brochure (Fall 2024) – coming September 1st. This brochure lists the various WRBC ministries and activities this fall (Sept – Dec) where you can connect with others in healthy relationships.
Solid Grounds Cafe – Meet a friend for coffee in the church foyer during office hours. (Tuesday – Friday 9:00 am – 4:00 pm.)
Growing In Grace (Seniors 55+) Please remember to get your baby pictures to Bonnie Tholl in her church mail slot by August 15. We are also collecting Favorite Recipes from our Seniors – copy your favorite or your family’s favorite or oldest recipe and why you love it so much! Remember to put your name on it so we know who it belongs to!
Missions / Justice and Mercy Ministries (JAM)
Harvest Manitoba—Check our Food Bank Wall to see what is needed and take a card for the item you want to donate. Food bank donations may be left in the box located in the foyer next to the mail folders. Any non-perishables are appreciated, especially pancake mix and syrup, canned fruit/vegetables, canned meat/fish especially salmon. Please do not bring perishable items. Thank you!
Family Support Centre needs Baby Formula and newborn clothing for Baby Layettes! Use the bin in the foyer (next to the mail folders) at church to drop off your donations of baby formula (Enfamil is the most requested, but any brand is appreciated!). Drop off any time. Kids at the Ridge Programming
Summer Children’s Programming for Sunday mornings:
Preschool and kindergarten children will sit with their parents and be dismissed for programming after the Children’s Message. Grades 1-6 sit with their parents. Activity & coloring pages are available on the Kids’ Craft Carts in the auditorium.

Ways to give at Whyte Ridge Baptist Church: For those who are looking for a way to give to the mission of Whyte Ridge Baptist Church, options can be found at whyteridgebaptist.ca/GIVE.
To electronically transfer funds to WRBC please use the email: give@whyteridgebaptist.ca. No password required. Include in the message portion of your e-transfer the following information:
- Full name and address of the person to be receipted.
- Your preferred Fund: General Fund, Capital Asset Fund, Missions Trips Fund or Benevolent Fund. If desiring more than one Fund please include dollar amount for each. In the event that no Fund is chosen the full amount will go into the General Fund.
