Please submit your prayer request to the Prayer@WhyteRidgBaptist prayer wall below so we may know how to pray for you. You will be given the option to submit your prayer request here on the website, or to have it only shared with the Pastoral staff. Join us weekly for Come to the Quiet, a weekly prayer time that takes place every Wednesday morning (10:30am) at the church. Everyone is welcome. Contact Erika Cooper for details.

The Haida family have been attending our church since they arrived in Winnipeg nine months ago. Muhammad, Aisha and their three children came to Canada as refugees from Mauritania due to religious persecution. Mauritania is almost entirely Sunni Muslim and anyone who converts to Christianity is subject to criminal prosecution. Christian converts from Islam face constant hostility, acts of physical violence and the threat of imprisonment. Muhammad has been threatened, beaten and imprisoned because of his efforts to share the Gospel with his fellow Mauritanians.
While Muhammad and his family are now safe in Canada, they still have two adult daughters and five grandchildren struggling to survive in Mauritania. They ask for prayers of protection for their family and God’s providence to sustain them with their daily needs. They also ask for your prayers as they seek to find a way to have them leave Mauritania and someday join them in Canada.
