Tomorrow morning (Monday) Brooklyn will be back in the operating room for another 8 hour surgery to work on her second leg followed by an 5-7 day hospital stay. Her previous surgery & hospitalization was pretty traumatic for her so she is quite anxious. Her parents are very tired as they go into this second round. Please pray for peace and calmness for our precious girl and for strength for her parents. They are most thankful for your prayers.

From Shirley Burton: Last week Brooklyn’s surgery lasted for 10 hours and they were not able to complete everything. A second surgery has been slated for November 7th to finish up. Her hospital stay has been quite difficult because of her extreme anxiety. They are hoping to get her home on Tuesday or Wednesday and then she will go back in on Monday for an additional number of days (to be determined). She does not know that she has to go back for more surgery so much wisdom is needed in how to relay this to her. Her parents are very tired and when she comes home there will be lots of modifications that they will need to implement for her care. Thank you for your prayers. They are feeling very prayed for and it is what is helping them get through this.

Our granddaughter Brooklyn (10 years old) is scheduled for surgery on Wednesday, October 26th at Children’s Hospital. Brooklyn is adopted from Ethiopia and has Cerebral Palsy as well as a number of other health challenges. Her mobility has declined over the past year and the surgery is planned to straighten both her hips and knees and hopefully get her walking again. We have been told that it will be an 8 hour surgery with two surgeons present. We would appreciate prayer for our precious granddaughter, her parents, siblings and extended family as we support through this journey.

On Sunday, September 18th, Paula Loewen's mother, Martha Funk, went home to be with the Lord.
Her funeral will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at 3:00 pm at Crossway Elm Creek (Elm Creek MB Church).

Pray for our daughter Chelsea, 35, who suffers from Mold disease. Not been able to leave her home in E Kildonan for several years; not enough strength/energy/mostly bedridden; sometimes has strength to sit on her steps for a bit. Expenses are big; last month $8,000! Pray that the right doctor, the right meds/supplements and treatment protocols are revealed to her. And for an end to this 6 year nightmare. She is a believer.

Please pray for Lorraine Nickel. Lorraine flew out to Vernon BC to attend her grandson’s wedding held on June 25th. The day after the wedding, Lorraine ended up in the Vernon BC Hospital with blood clots in the lung and COVID Pneumonia. She has since come off a ventilator and is hoping to be discharged this Thursday to her daughter Candace’s home in Vernon BC to recover. The medical staff are working on dissolving the blood clots in her lungs and the COVID Pneumonia is slowing dissipating.
Please keep Lorraine in your prayers as she will be unable to fly home until she is recovered.

Thank you everyone for your prayers. My Mom passed away in her sleep on June 13th at 104 years. Another princess has been fully redeemed. All funeral arrangements went very well; the funeral was held in Portage la Prairie with my son from Saskatoon officiating.

Please pray for Sheila Henry's grandson Hayden. He had been scheduled for surgery today to alleviate his seizures. Sadly, the surgery had to be aborted after it was discerned that the location in the brain presented too great of a surgery risk for potential paralysis. Please pray for Hayden, as this will be deeply disappointing news for him. And pray for his family as they face this together.

Please pray for Sheila Henry's 14 year old grandson, Hayden, as he goes for surgery on Friday. The doctors plan to remove a small portion of brain matter in the hopes of stopping Hayden's seizures. Please pray that this is successful, and that there would not be resulting side effects or losses of mobility. And please pray for Hayden, his mother and his sister - that God would draw them closer to Himself and grant them peace.

Please pray for baby Hudson, son of Megan and Drew. Hudson is currently admitted to Children’s Hospital because he is failing to thrive (not gaining weight).
Please lift he and his family up in prayer and pray for the Drs to figure out why this is happening. At 7 months he is 12lbs8oz. At this point they are considering a feed tube and he will have an MRI in the days to come.
