Prayer request update: Marsha's dad starred his first treatment of Retuxamab this morning. It will be a long day....8 hours in Cancer Care. Please pray there is no allergic reaction, and that the medicine is able to be absorbed into his brain, and that it will get rid of all Cancer cells in his brain. An answered prayer is that Rudy's PET scan was done last week Wednesday and it came back clear but didn't show the brain very well, so treatment has to still be done. Praise the Lord for clear scan of the rest of Rudy's body!!

Some answers to prayer for Marsha's parents.
"- we have had prayer for healing from a few people, lots of people praying everywhere!...we had the word of a long life spoken over dad at church on Sunday morning by our friend Keith, and we had a second MRI done yesterday. We were told the scan results would not be available for 5 days.
-doctor called and told us the scan report was back.....today....She said among other things it looks a bit better than the previous one! Yeah! were told the scan results would not be available for 5 days.
- the team of doctors felt they would agree to try the Retuxamab treatment first.
-Retuxamab ...a chemo drug which targets the B cells that have the virus, an antibody drug, given intervenously, low toxic, is administered slowly, (over 6-8 hours) watching for allergic reaction, weekly for 4 weeks. The main side effect is allergic reaction, with a possibility of low blood count or risk of infection! They would wait 4 weeks and then do another MRI. Depending on the results they might repeat or at that point consider to use another method.
- very thankful that the doctors are willing to try the less invasive treatment plan first.
We are thanking Jesus!"
Please continue to pray for protection on Rudy's pancreas and kidney...that his body doesn't reject them. Also that the Retuxamab goes directly to Rudy's brain and fights the infection and lymphoma there, and for protection against infection and allergic reaction. Praise God for the answers to prayer that Marsha's parents have received thus far!!

Marsha Oeste's dad, Rudy, has been diagnosed with a rare form of post transplant lymphoma. The appointment at Cancer Care on Thursday was a little unnerving regarding potential treatment options. Please pray for the team of doctors that will decide how to best treat this, and pray for continued peace and courage for Marsha's parents, Rudy and Grace, to face the unknown.

Prayer request update:
Marsha Oeste's parents found out on Tuesday that the mass taken from her dad Rudy's brain was lymphoma. The doctors are confident they took it all, but there is still the smaller spot on his brain. Rudy had a CT scan Friday to explore more about the second spot. Tuesday they meet with the neurosurgeon and go to Cancer Care. Extra care is needed for Marsha's dad as he has had 2 transplants. (Kidney and pancreas) The transplant doctor has reduced Rudy's anti-rejection meds to 1/4 of the dose, to give his body a chance to fight off the lymphoma. Please pray that his body does not reject the transplants. Please pray too that he is able to fight off the cancer and that there is no more cancer anywhere else in his body. Thank you for praying!!

Building Project Prayer Requests:
As numbers firm up for the final costs, pray that we are able to lessen the gap in financing and that discussions with the Steinbach Credit Union are favourable.
Pray for the Building Committee as our Church enters into a formal construction agreement with Thomas Design Builders. This will involve decisions regarding sub trades and managing all aspects and costs of construction.
Pray for wisdom upon the Building Committee and Thomas Design as they fine tune/redesign the plans in an effort to meet the budget for the project.
Continue to pray for a solution for the drainage of the McGillivray property.

Marsha's dad's surgery on Friday was successful in removing the mass. He was able to go home on Monday. Continue to pray that the pathology report will come back as benign, and that the other small spot on his brain would disappear. Pray also for Marsha's parents and the rest of the family to be at peace and trusting God through this time of waiting and recovery.

Please pray for Alf Bell who is in the HSC to undergo tests to determine the cause of his troubles. He is in good spirits and trusting God with each step. However, because of the tests they’re doing and his fatigue, he requested that visits be limited to staff and deacons, but he appreciates prayer from the entire church.

Praise God that George is doing better since the antibiotics worked on his dental issues.
Thank you all for your prayers once again. It's been 15 years since George's Parkinsons diagnosis and 5 years with the feeding tube was installed. George has been so stoic during these years and we Praise our Lord for his faithfulness.
