Please pray for Barb Morris's cousin, Matt Guenther. He was in a very serious motorcycle accident and is in critical condition in a hospital in Alabama. They have amputated one of his legs and he has a very long gash down the front of his body. Please pray for his body to heal and for comfort and peace for his family. His mom, Barb's aunt Helen, flew out to be with him. Please also pray for Barb's aunt as today is the 5th anniversary of her husband's death.

Building Project Prayer Requests:
Praise the Lord for guiding us through the site drainage and budget issues. Please continue praying as we move onto the next phase in the process. The final building plans are scheduled to be completed by the first week in October; at that time they will be sent out to contractors for pricing. Please pray that the bidding process goes well, and Thomas and the building committee are able to choose the best contractors at the right price. With the Lord’s help we hope to be on or under budget.
Praise the Lord for the continued strong interest by one of the churches in preparing an offer to purchase our current building. We continue to pray that the Lord will bring forward the right buyer at the right price for our 201 Scurfield property.

Prayer for those impacted by Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma
Hurricane Harvey began wreaking havoc in Texas Friday, Aug. 25, when the Category 4 storm made landfall. As it moved across southeast Texas and into Louisiana, it downgraded to a tropical storm, dropping record rainfall and causing widespread flooding.
A "potentially catastrophic" Hurricane Irma is currently roaring toward northeastern Caribbean islands as a Category 5 storm. Please pray for the areas impacted as various humanitarian organizations respond to help people affected by the storm.
Pray for families to reunite. With cell towers down in many areas, families are separated and have not been able to communicate with each other. Pray that as families seek help, they’re able to also reunite and stay in touch with loved ones.
Pray for children. It’s easy to be scared when you’ve been displaced from your home or even lost your home altogether. Pray for comfort for children, as many are sleeping in shelters amongst strangers or without a favorite blanket or stuffed animal that may have calmed them if it was available. Pray also for the safety of displaced children, as chaos is a key time for predators to seek vulnerable children.
Pray for aid workers and first responders. In the wake of a natural disaster, communication can be challenging, roads can be unpassable, and plans can be hard to execute as new obstacles develop. Pray for the people who are working to rescue families in trouble as well as those who are administering medical aid and distributing relief supplies.
Pray for the clean-up work. With several feet of water dumped across the regions affected, clean-up efforts will be extensive as the water recedes. Pray for wisdom for the leaders organizing the efforts and for safety as workers encounter hidden and emerging dangers.
Pray for those who lost loved ones. As workers have helped rescue people this week, the death toll has also risen. Pray for families who have lost someone and are grieving on top of all the other problems they face right now.

Prayer request update on Marsha's dad, Rudy Loewen.
My dad has been doing really well health wise through the chemo that he was recieving. His transplanted organs continue to be doing fine, and he has had lots of energy and strength to be working handy-man jobs since the middle of July. He has his follow-up MRI last week, and now we wait until he sees the oncologist on September 15th to see the results of the chemo. We appreciate continued prayer for health, strength, and for good news. We also praise God for how well my dad has been doing!!! Thank you for to all who have asked about my dad and for praying!!

Dieter & I would like to thank our church family for all their kind words of sympathy after the recent passing of Dieter's Mom. We felt so well supported. All 7 siblings worked together without any dissent to complete the arrangements that followed Mom's death. This was a great blessing. So thanks for your prayers!

Please pray for Adeline Henkelman, daughter of Mark and Sharon. She was admitted into hospital this weekend due to what appears to be some kind of infection in several of her lymph nodes. Please pray for peace for Adeline as she has to put up with lots of poking and prodding, and for Sharon and Mark as they care for Adeline and await medical answers.

Dieter Bonas' mother passed away on July 9.
Please keep the family (7 siblings) and numerous grandchildren in your prayers. This will be very difficult for them as they have all been so close to Mom, and so commmitted to her care for the past 10 years. Much appreciated.
Thank you.
