Amanda (Mandy) Hogue
From Mandy Hogue:
UPDATE re: My Mother Katie.
Looks like she is stable enough to go back to Bethania Nursing home today... Monday.
Her condition is not like she was before the Pneumonia , much more weakened and will need a lot more care. But being in her own bed and comfortable surroundings will be much better for her.
Thank you for all your prayers, and kind words of concern and caring. It's so very much appreciated.

Helen O'Neill
From Helen O'Neill - Please pray for my partner Jack Trueman. We came home from the Doctors today with the news that he has an aneurism in his aortic vein which could burst at any time. We are now waiting to see a surgeon to find out if it can be repaired, however the Dr does not think it can. It’s being treated at the moment with blood thinners in the hope that it does not burst.
Thank you

Ron and Marilyn Krahn
The following is an update from Ron and Marilyn Krahn with good news about their granddaughter. Ron and Marilyn used to attend WRBC.
"We are shaking...but this time with relief and praise. Savannah's stenosis is limited (mild to moderate), and her heart is in good working condition. No intervention is needed at this time. She will have regular cardiology appmts. here in SF to monitor her heart and related blood vessels. Lana and Jeremy are praising Jesus and weak with gratitude and relief. Jeremy said the findings really couldn't have been much better. They are in a different boat than they were in with Berend, and they will cherish the ride. Now they just have to come home tomorrow. Then we'll celebrate for days and weeks....maybe forever!"

Ron and Marilyn Krahn
Some of us know Ron and Marilyn Krahn and their family who used to attend WRBC. Please pray for them, as Jeremy and Lana's 7 week old daughter Savannah (Ron and Marilyn's granddaughter) has been found to have some concerning heart issues. The family will be travelling to Ann Arbor, Michigan for an appointment at the Pediatric Cardiology hospital. They ask that we cry out to the Lord with them for help, strength, and peace, and most of all for a miracle in their baby girl.

Melanie Friesen
From Melanie Friesen: Please pray for my nephew, Luke (my sister, Alisa's youngest). He is 3 and has severe hemophilia. In July he had surgery to try to have a port put in so that he would be able to receive his injections more often. This is a risky surgery for someone with a bleeding disorder and it did not go well. The surgeon accidentally nicked the carotid artery and he had to be sedated to stop the bleeding. My sister and her husband were uneasy attempting the surgery again so since then they have been taking him to the hospital 3 - 4 times a week to get his treatment but his veins are all shot and it is very difficult to give his his injections so they really need to try to put the port in again. He will be having the port surgery on Wednesday morning at 9 am. Please pray that everything goes smoothly and that my sister and her husband would sense the peace of God.

IBK
From IBK: Thank God for sustaining the ministry of CEF of Manitoba through a tough financial stress this summer, which resulted in losing 2 full time staff and yet having records breakthrough in number of summer workers, children reached with the Gospel and children that responded to the invitation. More children responded to the call that CEF has ever seen in the last 22 plus years.
Pray now that God will provide the funds needed for CEF to be able to pay its staff and other expenses as savings was used to maintain the summer ministry where the Canada Summer grants would have made a significant difference.
Pray that God will open up the heavens in abundance and favor and that we will be able to come out of our Line of Credit by the end of this month.
Continue to pray for the public school ministry (Discovery Time) that approvals will keep coming as petitions are handed in with no further hiccups. So far 6 new schools have been approved. That is more than 47 schools with religious instructions and thousands of children hearing the Gospel in schools, in a time/day as today. That is worth being thankful for. Proclaim the praises of the Lord with us!

Johanna Jorgensen
From Johanna Jorgensen: Please pray for me and my family regarding my cancer diagnosis. I was upgraded to stage 3C after they found cancer in my lymph nodes. All my scans have been clear though which is an answer to prayer. This means the cancer has not spread any further than my lymph nodes.
It's a really long story that I'll update more on when I have a bit more time, but we found out that Manitoba Health/Cancer Care will not cover the treatment I need to save my life. It's funded for stage 4, but not for stage 3. I'm 3c (there is no stage 3d) so I'm a hairline away from being covered. Basically we're having to come up with $180,000 to start on immunotherapy. It's really urgent as this very well could save my life. The only other option I was given was a drug that's only 11% effective with horrible side effects, or waiting until I'm stage 4 and then being covered (which isn't an option. It could take my life at stage 4). I have to start treatment by the end of October so please pray that our fundraising efforts are successful. If they aren't, my parents, in laws and Adam and I will have to sell our houses to get the money. If we could also get some prayer that our meeting with the minister of health goes well (to see about getting some funds to cover costs) as well as that our application to the drug company asking for the drugs to be reduced to half price would be successful. Also, that our go fund me which we will be launching soon will be successful. Thank you all so much. We appreciate the prayer and support more than you know.

Pastor Alf Bell
Pastor Alf Bell is in St. Boniface hospital due to a continued bladder-related issue. It seems that he will be in hospital for a while as the medical team deals with this issue and with some physical pain related to it. Pastor Alf is not currently feeling up to visits as he requires a lot of rest, but he very much welcomes your prayers.
