Please pray for my mom Magdalene Oeste. She was visiting a friend in Victoria BC when she had a problem with her pancreas and gallbladder. She is in the hospital and is waiting on test results for further treatment. Pray for healing for her and wisdom for the doctors. Please pray for us as well to figure out our next steps in supporting my mom. My brother Gordon and I appreciate the prayers.

Battling severe depression and a lot of hopelessness in my life. Please pray that God will turn this around and give me hope, healing and peace. Update for the officers in Ukraine.
To date, there has been no news on Police Chaplain Denis who was captured over a month ago we pray for his safe release. A praise item is that all the other officers and chaplains involved in the rescue missions are safe so far. We continue to pray for their safety and their ability to carry out the rescues and the delivery of humanitarian aid.

My colleague from work six years ago is waiting for her surgery to be scheduled. She has blockage in arteries in her lower abdomen and is in extreme pain. Please pray for healing and her surgery date be fixed sooner and goes well without any complications.

Police chaplains and police officers across Canada are grieving over the invasion of Ukraine. Many have relatives in the Ukraine and ancestral roots within the country. Since the 2019 Canadian police mission trip to the Ukraine many chaplains and police officers became friends. We recently learned that Ukraine Police Chaplain Denis had been captured by the Russians. We ask that you lift Chaplain Denis and his family up in prayer. Please pray for all Police Chaplains and Police Officers in the Ukraine. We also pray specifically for Police Chaplain/Ukrainian Academy of Chaplains Administrator Pavlo Tsarevskyi and other police chaplains who have acquired buses and have evacuated over 3000 people. They have brought food and supplies and the love of Christ to desperate people while continually risking their lives. We see police chaplains and police officers working hand in hand to serve the people of Ukraine.
We pray that God would continue to bless them with courage and wisdom. "The Lord bless them and keep them; the Lord make his face to shine upon them and be gracious to them; the Lord lift up his countenance upon them and give them peace" Numbers 6:24-26

Please pray for Dean and Glenda Ferguson's 13 year-old grandson.
He was hit by a car this morning and was taken to the hospital by ambulance. The family has just learned that he has a sprained ankle and are waiting for assessment results regarding soreness in his ribs.
Please pray for his healing and safety, and also for his parents and family, that they would know God's peace and help in this situation.

We had a meeting with the team yesterday to see how to move forward. His mobility is gone so the care that is needed now is different to before. Please pray for wisdom for us all as we make some big decisions.

Thanks to all who prayed for the baby we were wanting to have placed with us. God moved mountains and they said yes! We are so excited for her to join our family.
Please pray the transition goes smoothly. Especially in light of the fact that she’s arriving this Sunday, and the following day Adam is leaving for a 10 day work trip to the arctic. So I’ll be solo parenting 4 kids ages 5 and under for a bit. Thanks for praying!

A friend of ours let us know about a 2 month old baby who needs a long term foster home. We prayed about it, then said yes! She’s currently being fostered by another agency, and that agency agreed to place her with us as she had no other options. Our agency initially agreed, but now are backing out (stuff I can’t say due to confidentiality). Our social worker appealed the decision on our behalf as we really believe this baby is meant to be with us. We will know within the next day or two if our director had a change of heart. Please pray that God softens the heart of the director of our agency so this baby can be placed with us. This baby has no other options…if she doesn’t get placed with us, she’s going to a group home which is heart breaking. She deserves a loving family. Please join us in prayer that we can bring this baby home!

Courtney Joy and Andrew Friesen want to thank everyone for their prayers. Courtney Joy's surgery went well and she is now recovering. Praise the Lord for that and all glory to Him that all went well. She is still in pain, so please pray that the pain will go away soon. Hopefully she'll be discharged from the hospital tomorrow. Please continue to pray for quick recovery and for God's protection.

Please pray for Courtney Joy Friesen. Two days ago Courtney Joy was taken to the hospital after experiencing severe pain during the night. She has an infected gallbladder which needs to be removed. The surgery is scheduled for tomorrow. Please pray that all will go well and for quick recovery. Please also pray for God's protection and grace while she's hospitalized and for the Lord to comfort Andrew and Malakhi during this difficult time.

Please continue to pray for Priscila as she has tested positive for Covid. She put it this way, "pray that I would not lose my mind while I quarantine in my apartment for 6 more days." Also, please pray for another new family who is supposed to be arriving soon and that they would be able to settle in to their new homes.
Priscila is also thankful that the lady she is is seeing is open to her reading and praying together and that she is able to share with neighbors what she believes.
She also would be thrilled if you would send her an email (on the missions page) as she loves updates on what is happening in the Church family.
Priscila has put her life out there where it is very difficult to testify about one's faith. We do not experience that in Canada. We might sometimes be ridiculed for our faith but rarely persecuted. So, let's remember Priscila and pray for safety as she goes about her daily tasks in a country hostile to the gospel.

I would like to give heartfelt thanks to everyone who has prayed for my niece Sarah. I don’t know if recovering is the right word to use but she is doing much better now that people believe her regarding her illness. For the longest time everyone downplayed her illness thinking she was attention seeking. All of her needs are being taken care of by the necessary doctors and she is at this time being tube fed through her small intestine. Praying for a reasonable recovery time although I’m believe she will have this for the rest of her life.

Thank you all SO much for your prayers for Jim as he underwent surgery November 4th, 2021 for prostate cancer. We had a follow-up phone appt just this afternoon and the pathology report showed that the cancer was removed, the margins clear and all removed lymph nodes were negative for cancer!! The cancer score was higher than initially thought, so we are VERY grateful for a successful and positive report. Jim continues to make progress in retraining his muscles and returns to work tomorrow! Again, THANK YOU, for walking with us through this experience! We truly felt God's hand on us and the medical teams.

Andrew and Courtney Joy thank everyone for their prayers and messages of encouragement. Last week was very tough for them. For four days Courtney Joy's oxygen was dropping and she had difficulty breathing. By God's grace the vaccination minimized the severity of her symptoms and kept her out of the hospital. Fortunately, the worst seems to be behind them now. Courtney Joy is slowly starting to feel better and Andrew and Malakhi remain symptom free. Praise the Lord. Please continue to pray for her recovery. Please also pray for the staff on campus, as more are testing positive and for the students and teachers as they make the transition to online learning.

Please pray for my niece Sarah. She has been diagnosed with Ehlors Danlos syndrome and Postural Tachycardia Syndrome. She has also developed Gastroparesis and cannot eat anything by mouth as her esophagus is also damaged from throwing up everything she tries to swallow. She will be having a feeding tube inserted into her stomach within the next couple of weeks. These are both very debilitating diseases that she will probably have for the rest of her life. She is only 23 years old.
