Jenna Oeste was admitted into the Victoria Hospital yesterday afternoon for problems with her bowels. Last night at 11pm she finally had an x-ray and CT scan. It was revealed that her colon has stopped working or gone to sleep. She has a blockage due to having previous surgery and scar tissue on the colon(she has lost a portion of her colon). Today, she is waiting on a transfer to St. Boniface Hospital where the surgery team will assess and see what can be done. Pleas continue to pray for her that all will go well and that this colon and blocked bowels issue will be resolved.

The Haida family have been attending our church since they arrived in Winnipeg nine months ago. Muhammad, Aisha and their three children came to Canada as refugees from Mauritania due to religious persecution. Mauritania is almost entirely Sunni Muslim and anyone who converts to Christianity is subject to criminal prosecution. Christian converts from Islam face constant hostility, acts of physical violence and the threat of imprisonment. Muhammad has been threatened, beaten and imprisoned because of his efforts to share the Gospel with his fellow Mauritanians.
While Muhammad and his family are now safe in Canada, they still have two adult daughters and five grandchildren struggling to survive in Mauritania. They ask for prayers of protection for their family and God’s providence to sustain them with their daily needs. They also ask for your prayers as they seek to find a way to have them leave Mauritania and someday join them in Canada.

My daughter, age 31 and mother to 3, is going through a divorce. Her ex husband is emotionally and financially abusive. She’s overwhelmed, depressed, anxious and afraid of her future. My once self assured, vibrant daughter is broken. Needing God’s grace and mercy.
In Christ
A tired praying mom

Eric Bergmann
Peacefully, early this morning Eric Bergmann passed from this life to eternity after his battle with cancer and pulmonary fibrosis. He is free from pain and suffering and is with his Heavenly Father.
We rejoice in knowing that what he believed his whole life has now been made sight. Eric and Lorraine began attending WRBC in 1992 and he loved his church family, serving in many areas. After health struggles prevented him from attending in person, he would watch online.
Your prayers for the family are appreciated.

I received the news this week that I have no radiological evidence of cancer, so I am considered to be cancer free!
My statement for this day is summed up in this, "Praise to the Lord, the Almighty, the King of creation".
Blessings to you for your support for Vicki and me in the past 1+ year(s). I look on that support with great appreciation and thankfulness. And I look forward to what this next year will bring.

Our chronically ill daughter Chelsea needs prayers for healing. And we can’t get any government assistance at all, due to the nature of mold disease, and so it’s very expensive and an ongoing burden. She is a relative invalid.

Child Evangelism Fellowship has three goals for 2025 that we could use prayers for;
1) That the Mailbox Club Discipleship Program will reach every single home in Manitoba, starting with the sponsor a mailbox by communities launch in 2025.
2) Discovery Time Rally in the summer (Yes, we can still have religious instruction in the public schools in Manitoba) - One way to spread the word is to have a warp us rally where others can know more on how to start Discovery Time in their kid's schools.
3) CEF Manitoba will be launching a Bible Quizzing Program in November 2025 for youth and any participating partner churches - Pray that many churches will see the significance such a powerful and impactful program has on youth and young adults' retention in their churches

Praise and Thanks: Yesterday I received what should be my 2nd last Chemo treatment cycle, so I'm nearing the end of the treatments (last one scheduled to be in two weeks).
As has been my experience in the previous treatments, the symptoms are again compounding with each successive treatment. (Symptoms include extreme fatigue, loss of appetite, neuropathy on hands and mouth, and a few minor ones.)
I've written this line previously, but it's intent and strength remains: "Thank-you for your enduring support for me and Vicki and family in this part of the journey too. We are grateful that we don't have to do this alone."
Bless you all,
Tim and Vicki

Pray for the ministry of Child Evangelism Fellowship of Manitoba, which has for 86 years provided ALL of its PROGRAMS to reaching children all across Manitoba for FREE. Sunday School teacher Training, Summer 5-Day Clubs, Mailbox Club, and Discovery Time (Religious Instruction in the public schools). However, the ministry has reached a point where we must seek more church and Christian Business Partnerships or else we may have to start charging for some of our programs to sustain the expanding ministry of CEF. Since I joined CEF 10 years ago, the ministry has grown year after year, training more volunteer teachers and summer workers even during COVID years, CEF MB was the only province still able to run in-person clubs those summers. With 5 staff and over 100 volunteers God has multiplied all of our efforts. Pray that more churches will partner so that we can be in every school in Manitoba (why not?) while we still have the opportunity and more Christian businesses to partner so that thousands of children can continue to be reached at zero cost to them or their families. For His Glory we seek your prayers today.

On Aug.24, at about 11 am in the mall, I saw Evita at a jewelry booth for the first and last time. She was willing to listen for about 10 minutes as I told her the gospel, which seemed rather new to her. She agreed that it made sense, and professed faith in Christ before she prayed with me. I returned to give her my tract and a marked NT, which she gladly accepted. Pray for her to grow in faith.
The arthritis in my toe prevents me from walking there as much as I used to.
Pastor Kevin’s praise/song ministry gets me going every time; and so today I went after church and spoke God talk with 3 people in the mall. It’s easy to do when you’re excited about the truth, grace, and love of Jesus. Pray for more souls to come to Jesus!
May we all use our remaining days to know Him, and proclaim Him !
