Search Team Update: The Lead Pastor Search Team continues to meet on a regular basis. Since the job posting was updated and reposted last month we have received a number of new applications. Unfortunately, none of these applicants met the requirements for our Lead Pastor position, as outlined in the job description. Please continue to pray for the Search Team, for the job posting, and especially for the man of God’s choosing to submit an application.

Our church is part of the North American Baptist (NAB) Conference. One of the blessings of belonging to the NAB is having missionaries we love and support through them. Currently, we support Nick & Iris Hung (Evangelism and Discipleship in Japan) and Lyndell Campbell-Réquia (Leadership Development in Brazil). Every three months our missionaries write newsletters so that we can stay connected with them and know how to uphold them in prayer. This information is required to be filled out each year for each child to make sure we have updated allergies, permissions, and consent for your child. This important VIDEO which is Threatening to Slaughter thousands of Innocent Christians in a village in Chhattisgarh (India) on the 1st of March 2025. We URGE you to Stand in the Gap and PRAY that God’s Mighty power and Protection will PREVENT these Evil people from carrying this Inhuman plan.

This is a serious Threat and Plan. Let’s do our part, Pray..🙇‍♀

Today three hindu group came in the village which they targeted and organised a peaceful and protection committee and took oath to each other as promise to maintain peace and protect each other. Praise God, prayer answered and His blessed intervention.

They are their neighbouring village group people.

Volunteer Opportunity – looking for a Sunday morning early-bird (or 2) to come prepare our auditorium for our Sunday morning service by putting Welcome Cards & offering envelopes into the backs of the chairs. We have volunteers currently serving in this way but we need someone to share in this ministry for every other week (2 Sundays/month). Celebration of Life - Eric Bergmann (Saturday, February 22 at 11:00 am)

A Celebration of Life for Eric Bergmann will take place Saturday at 11:00 a.m. (February 22, 2025) at Whyte Ridge Baptist Church, 2405 McGillivray Blvd, Winnipeg.

A time of Food and Fellowship will follow. A private interment will take place prior to the service.

The service is livestreamed at www.whyteridgebaptist.ca/memorials (the service will be live 30 minutes prior to the start of the service).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Eric’s memory to Canadian Food Grains Bank or Cancer Care Manitoba.

Celebration of Life - Eric Bergmann (Saturday, February 22 at 11:00 am)

A Celebration of Life for Eric Bergmann will take place Saturday at 11:00 a.m. (February 22, 2025) at Whyte Ridge Baptist Church, 2405 McGillivray Blvd, Winnipeg.

A time of Food and Fellowship will follow. A private interment will take place prior to the service.

The service is livestreamed at www.whyteridgebaptist.ca/memorials (the service will be live 30 minutes prior to the start of the service).

A memorial can be viewed here.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Eric’s memory to Canadian Food Grains Bank or Cancer Care Manitoba.

When? Feb 7th – 6:45pm to 9:15pm

What? We will spend the evening roaming around Church of the Rock in groups of at least 3 people, exploring the 135 Booths that are set up for ministries that are connected to Missions around the world. There are opportunities to sit in a session to hear one of the speakers, check out the Youth room and the things happening there, or spend some money to grab a snack!

WRBC 101 Orientation Class – THIS Saturday, January 18, 1-2:30 pm, Common Office Area – You are welcome to attend an afternoon of information about Whyte Ridge Baptist Church. Whether you are new to this church or a long-time attender, this is a good opportunity to learn more about who we are, what we believe, how we operate, and ways you can serve. Far Corners Ministry: On behalf of Far Corners Ministry we want to say a very big “Thank You” for the very generous Christmas offering we received from the Whyte Ridge church family. These funds cover the cost of helping children of needy pastors to have access to a better quality education that they would receive otherwise. In some cases they are able to attend better schools and in other places where that is not an option, the children can get extra tutoring. This results in children having the tools to complete their schooling and be able to pursue higher education. So thanks once again for partnering with us and supporting this aspect of ministry in northeast India that is making a real difference in young lives! – In His service, Shant & Ginny Manuel

Kids at the Ridge Programming

Kids at the Ridge Request – Trust Package Donations Needed!

On Sunday, January 19th, as part of our lesson on trusting God (and the Israelites wandering the desert), our kids will be making a “Trust Package” containing a few basic needs for someone who needs encouragement! They will also write a note of encouragement (or draw a picture) to put in their bags and let them know that God loves them. They can take this package home and decide who they would like to give it to.

In order to do this activity with the kids, we are looking for some items to add to our packages! Here are some ideas of what we need (must fit in a medium ziplock bag): band-aids, small sanitizer bottles, individual kleenex packages, gum, mentos, travel size shampoos or other toiletries etc. Please drop off any items you can donate this Sunday or by next Sunday morning for us to use for our Trust Packages on January 19th!
