‘IN GOD’S SERVICE’ is looking for volunteers!

In God's Service - Meadowood

‘IN GOD’S SERVICE’ is a team of people who provide the legs for banquets at Meadowood Manor – to allow the guests to be served at their tables, our job is to carry the prepared plates from the kitchen to the individual guests.

There are three banquets a year: April, May and December. The dinner traditionally begins at 6:30 p.m. Servers are encouraged to be on site no later than 6 p.m. Depending on the number of guests, the entertainment and speeches, the evening lasts from 3 – 4 hours.

Normally, we serve appetizer, main course, dessert and beverages. Once these tasks are done, we sit and enjoy our free meal in the EPC dining room and visit amongst ourselves until the banquet is complete and we can clear the tables.

The ‘IN GOD’S SERVICE’ team usually numbers between 6 – 10 people. Presently we are seeking additional volunteers so that we can be certain of the availability of sufficient numbers to provide this gift of service to those who live in and/or support the work of Meadowood Manor.

The team wears black pants or skirt and a white shirt. We have aprons available to protect our clothing.

We would love to have you join our team. If you are interested, contact Rhea Jenkinson (pictured below) at 204-269-8840 or by email rmj23@shaw.ca
