We have a pretty special evening this week for youth because we will have Jared share his testimony, AND we also have Bruce Hollins join us as a visitor. Bruce is a potential interim Pastor for our church as Pastor Terry retires this year. Bruce wanted to get to know us, and I hope you want to get to know him.

For Youth this week we will be meeting at the church for an Inhouse with some great stories, snacks, games, and Jesus. Can’t wait to see you on Friday at 6:45pm! Feel free to bring your friends and their friends.

UPcoming Events:

April 19, we will have a special guest join us, his name is Bruce Hollins, and I will explain his presence next week.

April 26, we have our Spring Family Night, where EVERYONE is invited, You, your family, your friends, your grandparents…. just bring everyone :D

I will not be at youth from April 25th to May 11th, but you’ll be in the best hands throughout that time, and you’ll have an amazing time no doubt!

This week, we are meeting at Abundant Life Baptist Church (1396 Plessis Rd) for Camp Nutimik Worship Night! I hope we’ll see you all for that night there! (if you need a ride, please let me know)

Upcoming: Friday the 29th, there will be NO YOUTH, because of Good Friday! But we will be back for the first Friday of April.

Hey Everyone!

Please make sure to read the entire email as there is some vital information for this week in it.

We are meeting for a regular night tomorrow at the church at 6:45, BUT we are building a video for our church to see what Youth is like and how they can be a part of what we do in different ways. This means that some of the kids and leaders will be in the video. This video will be shown at church AND be posted on our website. We do send a registration out every year where you sign off on whether you are comfortable to have your kids shown on our social media, but this is a step further where this video will be use for promotional use.

If you could do me a massive favour and either send me an email, a text, or simply call me, and let me know if that is ok or not for your kids, that would be helpful. This is simply another step of transparency beyond the form that you signed at the beginning of the year.

We also have a Camp Nutimik Worship Night coming up next week (Mar 22nd) at Abundant Life Baptist Church (1396 Plessis Rd). If there is a need for car-pooling please make me aware so we can plan for that.

Welcome to Second Winter ;)

Do not worry I saw some geese and it’s staying light out later, spring is on its way!

To make sure we spend time caring for one another so we do not freeze from social activities, we have a great activity for you this week!

This week is another one of our Small Group Nights, a night where your small group meets in a different place in a unique way! Here are the details you’ll need!

Sr High Girls: You’ll be meeting at Christina Coopers place from 7 to 9pm for a Tropical day at the beach!

Jr High Girls: You’ll be meeting at Emma Wynne’s house for a spa/dance night at 7 to 9pm.

Jr High Boys: You will be playing some split screen minecraft with snacks at my house from 7 to 9pm (940 Centennial St.)

Sr High Boys: Michael and Jared wanted to make a gym night happen for you, so you’ll meet at the church from 7 to 9pm!

If you have any questions regarding timing, location, and activity, please contact your small group leaders, or me if you cannot reach them! Have an amazing Weekend!

A reminder that next week Friday (Feb 16th), we have a Game of Gorgon planned, it’s going to be ridiculous, fun, chaotic evening that you can invite your friends to!  Be sure to invite your friends to join this week!

What an amazing weekend we got to experience at Mission Fest, I hope you got to enjoy your time learning about the hundreds of different ways we can get engaged within mission even right here in Winnipeg!

We are now jumping into some new things at 4HG with people in our group sharing their life stories, sharing their faith, sharing what God is doing in the lives of people that we know and love.

I can’t wait to see ya’ll this Friday!

Next week Friday (Feb 16th), we have a Game of Gorgon planned, it’s going to be ridiculous, fun, chaotic evening that you can invite your friends to!

Hey All!

I wanted to throw out a quick reminder to you all that tonight and this weekend Mission Fest Manitoba is happening at Church of the Rock! I’m really excited for this weekend since our church is going to be somewhat represented there with Tim Noble being one of the leaders of the weekend, and some of our own church worship team, leading worship on Sunday afternoon.

We will also be part of the weekend as a Youth group as we will be attending the Friday Night Youth event on Feb 2nd, we will be meeting at the west doors of Church of the Rock at 6:45pm! We will get a chance to check out the 150 booths of different ministries both here and abroad. There will be a session happening you can sit and listen to, there will also be some other things geared toward youth ages in their youth room. You’ll get to choose where you want to be as long as You’re SIGNED IN with myself or Erika Cooper, and in a group of at least 3 people!
We will have a rally toward the end of the night at 9:15pm where if you’re in middle school you’ll be picked up (again from the west doors), if you’re Sr. High School and would like for the after hours worship, please make sure you’ll let me know and make sure you’ll have a ride home planned for the end of the evening.

We’re finding out what the plan is for the rest of the year, learning each others stories and inviting others to join our story. I can’t wait to see us put the lessons we’re learning into action, inviting our friends and new potential friends into our lives.

Since covid we have stayed away from snacks that are not prepackaged. But this new year we want to give opportunity for parents to get involved again in different ways. The first way is going to be for parents who want to help with snacks. If that is you please contact Erika Cooper who will be excited to collaborate with you!

4HG Youth January 5th

Hey Everyone!

A reminder that TONIGHT (Jan 12th) there is a missionary couple who are going to present their lives as missionaries at Rowandale Church, and we’ve been invited to join them. We have a few leaders (including myself, Erika Cooper, Christina Cooper, and Cole Klassen) willing to drive students who need a ride.

If carpooling meet at the Church (WRBC) at 6pm. We will try and be back there at 10pm (updates will be sent to parents if they arise).

If NOT carpooling, we are planning on being at Rowandale at 6:40pm and leave there around 9:30pm.

We have some exciting events coming up that we can’t wait to jump into with you!

Last week we mentioned that if you’re interested in helping with the 4HG snack to please contact Erika Cooper who will be excited to collaborate with you!
