Exploring Connections Lunch – Are you looking for ways to connect at church?  Join us for lunch on Sunday, August 13 after church to learn ways to connect with others while growing in Christ. Register HERE. Registration deadline August 9.

WRBC Financial Support for Christian Camp Workers 2023 – 1) Must be a member/regular attendant at WRBC (at least one year). 2) Camp must be a Christian Camp that offers a share a wage program. All share a wage program money goes directly to the camp and not individuals. 3) Each applicant will receive $100 per week to a max of $600 for summer camp ministry. 4) A report will be made to the church upon completion of your service at camp. Join the Joy Smith Foundation at Bird’s Hill Park for her  annual Joy in Action in-person and virtual fundraiser. It’s easy to get involved. Whether you like to run, walk or ride, your activity will make a difference. Complete your activity between August 12-20, 2023. Go to www.joysmithfoundation.com  for more info and to register.

This is a general call for donations for a Chapel Library for inmates at Headingly Correctional Centre. Do you have books that you have read and are willing to pass on?? All donated books must be SOFT COVER only.
We are seeking fictional works with a faith focus, testimonies, general books on discipleship (e.g. Scot McKnight, Philip Yancey, John Eldredge, etc.), undated devotionals, concordances, and lay-level theology books. Multiple copies of the same book are welcome. Please drop books off at the church office by August 20.

Student Accommodations—A U of M student is looking for a accommodations starting September 4—boarding or renting a room with a family, or with someone needing a roommate; within a 15-20 minute bus ride to the university. Contact Jason or text 204-972-1144.

Right Now Media Online Church Resource Centre – This online service contains hundreds of family-friendly videos, as well as a large collection of Bible Studies and resources, as part of our growing Online Church Resource Centre. Consider it the Netflix of Christian videos and resources!

Solid Grounds Cafe   You are welcome to use the foyer to meet with friends during office hours. (Tuesday – Friday 9:00 am – 4:00 pm.)

Pickleball will take a break for the summer and resume in mid-September. Weekly drop-in, co-ed pickleball for anyone age 18+. Monday 9:00 & 11:10am; Tuesday 6:00 & 8:10pm; Thursday 9:00 & 11:10am; Thursday 7:00pm. No experience or equipment necessary to participate (must wear running shoes in the auditorium). $4.00 drop-in charge. Please use the north entrance. Come to the Quiet Prayer Time    Come to the Quiet will take a break for July and August and resume in September. A prayer gathering guided by scripture, Wednesdays, 10:30—noon. Contact: Erika Cooper.

Missions / Justice and Mercy Ministries (JAM)

WRBC Missions Prayer Card 2023: WRBC-Missions-Prayer-Card-2023-Final (hardcopy available at the Welcome Centre). 

Harvest Manitoba—Food bank donations may be left in the box located in the foyer next to the mail folders.  Any non-perishables are appreciated, especially pancake mix and syrup, canned fruit/vegetables, canned meat/fish especially salmon. Please do not bring perishable items. Thank you!

Help us support  Family Support Centre!  We will have a bin in the foyer (left side of the mail folders) at church to collect your donations of baby formula (Enfamil is the most requested, but any brand is appreciated!).  Drop off any time. Contact: Karen Owzarek (204-832-0113).
 

Kids at the Ridge (Children’s Ministries)

Have you filled out a Children’s Program Registration Form this year?  Our form is active from September 2022 to August 2023!
Registration is required every year for every child attending our programming from Nursery up to Grade 6.  This form provides us with important safety information and permissions for the year and must be updated annually.

To electronically transfer funds to WRBC please use the email: give@whyteridgebaptist.ca. No password required. Include in the message portion of your e-transfer the following information:

• Full name and address of the person to be receipted.
• Your preferred Fund: General Fund, Capital Asset Fund, Missions Trips Fund or Benevolent Fund.  If desiring more than one Fund please include dollar amount for each.  In the event that no Fund is chosen the full amount will go into the General Fund.
